When we arrived, we needed a wheelchair and asked at reception - mother had given birth X3 days beforehand and could barely walk, plus are had bags to carry and baby in cos seat. Reception reluctantly gave us a wheelchair but no one helped us. Father was left to struggle pushing a wheelchair, carrying a bay and baby in cos seat!
Tackling several double doors with no help there either! Was really disappointed and upset.
When we arrived at transitional care, we were left waiting, sat in uncomfortable hard chairs for over 6 hours. Mother was in agony, not even offered water for several hours.
The overall care once we were admitted was good - shown about the bad start!
Also bed in our room was broken (would not lower so mother having to climb up (be helped) was reported four times to midwives (nurses, when I called again, I was told it had not been reported?? (We complained over a period of appx 18 hrs!)
Nothing as everyone is helpful.
I was given lots of support.
Midwife was absolutely fantastic- very friendly and caring which helped us to be comfortable with the procedure our midwife was Ellie.
Options were very well explained and all decisions were discussed to determine the most appropriate course of action.
Lovely experience, thank you very much Ellie and Peterborough Hospital.
Care was very personal but also I was trusted to say how I felt and what I wanted to do or have.
Don't think my experience could have been improved. It was ideal.
The best team ever. Midwife Gorgeos. I loved that hospital.
Every person was so friendly and caring. They all treated the patient so well and he felt safe throughout.
Thank you!
The best service and facilities.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful and age appropriate.
Thank you very much for being too caring. The waiting area in theatre was very small, chairs for a 15 year old!
The nurses were very good at explaining the operation process and was made to be relaxing.
Very well looked after.
