The initial waiting time was 2 hours which I feel is reasonable. Any longer is not and needs to be addressed.
When I was referred to A&E the care I was given was very good.
After a long wait once seen to had good treatment
Intensive care unit were exemplary.
The physiotherapy team at King George Hospital are exemplary. Following an avulsion fracture in my foot Under the expert supervision of Alina, my physiotherapist, I went from high levels of pain and unable to walk without boot and crutches, to full range of movement on my foot and confidence in walking. Alina is thorough and an excellent communicator, delivering her sessions with total clarity, patience and complete sensitivity to my needs. I was in safe hands from the get go. Supporting materials provided were timely and effective and continue beyond my disharge. I am hugely grateful to Alina and the team at KGH and attribute my safe and speedy recovery to their excellent care.
Five and a half hour wait to even see a doctor is an absolute disgrace, staff were either running around like headless chickens, or congregrating kaughing and joking.
I went in with severe pain in my eye. I was triaged by the receptionist, 2 nurses and a doctor. Not one of them actually looked at my eye.
The doctor who finally examined me said that they did not have the facilities to examine me properly. He diagnosed me with a large eye abrasion and gave me some antibiotics. I was told that I should go to an eye clinic ASAP for a proper examination. It was about 6.30pm by the time I was told that the hospital was not equipped to examine me properly. I attended the hospital at around 2/2.30pm. Had I been told that I should attend an eye clinic on arrival I would have gone elsewhere. This would have meant I would have received the proper care and treat and wasted my time. I was in extreme pain during my wait and could not open my eyes. I feel it was also a waste of nhs resources as they were not equipped to help me.
My husband was blue lighted to KGH with? sepsis, which was frightening for us all The ambulance crew were fantastic and when we got to A&E the staff there started treatment immediately. We were kept informed at all times and they were so gentle and caring with my husband and also supportive of us. We could not have had better treatment anywhere. Thanks to their prompt attention, I still have my husband
They discharged me worst condition, which I come in.
I felt some staff discriminate patients.
There isn’t enough resources in the hospital to watch over patients. Need more equipment as well.
I was required to wait a very long time, in the corridor on a trolley, when it was clear that some cubicles were free. I was put beside a patient who was extremely disruptive, as she was shouting and swearing the whole time, without respite. This was very frightening for me as I was already so distressed. I am incontinent and therefore had to be taken to the toilet every time, rather than be able to use a bedpan, had i been in a cubicle. This was very difficult for me as i am disabled.
