Hard working, caring and was pleasantly surprised after reading the negative review. First time at this hospital I attended A&E and was seen swiftly and referred the appropriate department for further testing. Dr oechekoba saw me after my test results and was professional and caring and compassionate with disclosing the concerns. I was immediately referred and the issue was diagnosed and I felt safe, listened to and treated. Would have no concerns with attending this hospital. Thank you for my swift diagnosis and care.
19 hours waiting. Sat in a corridor on a hard chair. No updates as to tests etc. 5 hours between doctors. Very poor communication. Elderly people should be treated with much more respect and dignity. A Parkinson’s patient was very distressed and was left for hours. No one would help him his family were crying and extremely upset seeing him in such a state. My care was similar but not as urgent 19 hours is outrageous. At the end I feel the consultant fobbed me off didn’t give me any answers just medication just to get rid of me.
It took 5 hours for them not to provide any information that was useful. Instead they tried to redirect me to another service and said it was my employers responsibility
Overall a great experience. I had a heart attack and felt that everyone worked diligently and very hard on my assessment and subsequent treatment. The nursing team were great throughout. Societies were great too.
Hi, i had attended around 8pm, due to communications error me and my other half had been sat down till 12am without being seen by the doctor, therefore I addressed it with the nurses and I found out this is due to the fact that the nurse had forgotten to give my paper work to the raft doctor which explained why patients that had come after me was being seen and treated first. I had approached the doctor with kindness and no signs of any aggression and he immediately and rudely told me to leave him alone in such a aggressive manor infornt of numerous people he spoke in a very belittling manor he then refused to see me after I reacted to his reaction? This is the Raft doctor working on the 13th of July and was present there at 1:30am… the nurses however where amazing although there was basic human error natured error, I believe the doctor could’ve been more professional and sympathetic considering his area of expertise, I will be filing a formal complain. Please bare in mind he and the nurses Refused to give me his name.
Overall I'm very satisfied with care and treatment I received in A&E king George hospital. The doctor also communicated very well and explained all about the treatment step by step.
My 91 year old mother was being assessed. All staff were very kind and gentle with her, even though they were under pressure.,
Was sent by my GP with my MRI report which I found that I have a fractured lower back I had a fall two months ago I thought it was bruised I have Servre pain very uncomfortable and kept seeing my GP who then later arranged for urgent mri on finding I was shocked as a 51 year lady who has had slipped disc in the past I went to hospital sat for 4 hrs not good for my tail bone I was told by the DR why did my gp send me and nothing can be done and kept me waiting till I said I need to do a school run then he came back saying the Othopaedic said go back to gp and can’t do anything and walking is good so I emailed my gp will be seeing him next week to discuss and I will be looking into this nhs service I also found the staff behind the reception abrupt and I was then guided by the security guard as I walked in to go to reception because I had registered so I was standing she looked are you waiting I said yes I have registered she said you go straight through those doors I said security asked if I registered I said yes so you need to tell him not to send patients this way but through those doors she then said it’s not my job to tell him I just looked at her I thought you carry on talking to your colleague who both were chatting to the handyman and laughing away I’m shocked when people say nhs staff are so busy it ridiculous sitting on the chair not acknowledging a patient all giggling away keep it up
It was such a good experience that I will write to the medical team to thank them , including the healthcare assistants
I was really well looked after and finally got answers to questions about my ongoing medical condition.
