Dermatology clinic- Today I saw Dr Thamir Abraham about my ongoing atopic eczema. I had a blood test a few months back and patch testing, he went through the results thoroughly this morning, making sure he covered every aspect in detail and making sure I fully understood before continuing the examination. I was given a lot of advice on how to keep my eczema under control and given leaflets also. He done a thorough check on my eczema flair up at the moment and gave great advice to get it under control! Many thanks to this doctor for making sure I knew everything I needed to!

Excellent care and attention from all at the hospital during my care. Everyone was friendly and took time to make sure you were comfortable and understood everything that was happening. The surgery was quick and very successful. Aftercare in the recovery unit was particularly good, such friendly staff!

Had a meeting at our child school with Ms Ellie Allder who is a Community Childrens Nurse, based at the James Paget Hospital. The meeting was at Roman Hill Primary School,at the whole meeting was fully contrived with Ms Allder and Roman Hill School Nurse having a warped agenda which was clearly not in our sons interests.Firstly Ms Allder told us at the meeting that she had no contact from our then sons Gp Dr Neris, though we know that this was not true because in front of Ms Allder on the table at the care plan meeting was a letter written to Ms Allder, from the Gp.Though Ms Allder insisted she had not received any communication from the Gp, irrational or what?.Ms Allder also told us that she had no contact with Ms Ingham who is a dietitian at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, though we did not credibly believe this either. The fact is that Ms Ingham when contacted by us told us that she had about 8 telephone contacts with Ms Allder about our child, Ms Ingham also gave us the times and dates of all these contacts she had with Ms Ingham. This shows that Ms Ingham was strictly adhering to medical record keeping governance, which clearly Ms Allder for some weird reason was not.The Community Nursing Team generally presented themselves to us as parents as weird and wanted to keep coming around our house for no credible clinical reason for our child. Was also told once when our child gastro peg came out at school that they would come around the house. We were told in no uncertain terms by Consultants that if the gastro peg ever came out that you should seek immediate medical attention, in other words go to the A and E, you should not wait for a Community Nurse to come around your house, who simply could be hours to arrive.Would not trust this team or hospital with your child particularly when they act in the way that this review contains. The School Nurse who is based at Roman Hill School was also in to playing games, and found out from viewing the Gp records she was in to writing inappropriate and subjective statements about parents.

Rude staff, accused of lying about health issues, gossiping about other patients and myself, extremely unprofessional. I would only ever use this service again if I had no choice and I was not able to make a conscious decision. I would advise anyone to reconsider going to this hospital or the a&e department and choose a better one, extremely shocking and very sad. If you don’t have covid, they don’t care. So please, for the sake of yourself don’t go here.

I would like to stay how very satisfied I am with the treatment I received on ward 8 at the James paget hospital, especially Ann George who went over and above, she speaks quietly and gently and gives clear kind instructions and can’t do enough for you. I feel everyone only ever mentions the bad points but I truly do think Ann deserves a mention as she is very good at her job! Thank you to all staff on ward 8.

Our child was seen by Dr Zeitlin who is a Community Paediatrician which is affialated to the James Paget Hospital. Dr Zeitlin saw our son and was told during the appointment that our son had endocrinology care already in place at the Norfolk and Norwich, and had being seen there endocrinologist wide for a long time.Despite this Dr Zeitlin went and made an appointment for our son to be seen by an endocrinologist at the James Paget, without telling us.Dr Zeitlin made no reference during our appointment that she was going to do this, and did not include this action in her clinical letter. We told our gp about this and they did not agree either it was appropriate to be seen by 2 different endocrinologist in 2 different health trust areas. This also is not clinically ethical, and not ethical for Dr Zeitlin to have made this appointment without informing us.

The standard was very variable. In EADU the level of care was high. In Ward 6 it was mainly poor. While some staff were excellent there were several who spent more time chatting than helping patients. A TV/Radio was on all the time and there were dementure patients calling and shouting at all times of day and night. A few nurses spoke as though everyone was simple and hard of hearing. On one good day all worked well with quietly spoken nurses, working efficiently and creating a sense of calm - this was not the norm.
