The hospital was overcrowded and the staff were ran off their feet. It was awful!

Considering I was in there after taking an overdose after losing my only child, no one supervised me. Had my mother not then opted to stay with me, I could’ve easily left and done more harm to myself. Then when the 'mental health' person finally came to see me after a whole night in the noisy overcrowded A&E dept the next day they did nothing but send me home. to this day ive had no support since the murder of my son, so im likely to end up back there soon. NHS and mental health services are so poor youre literally helping to kill people at this point! joke of a service.

You gave me an appointment with a mental health doctor (my first in several years) who was really good, he gave me a keyworker and I felt listened to by MHS for the first time since my diagnosis. Medication was explained to me so I understood how it was supposed to make me feel and at what point was to much. Yeah I felt good but as always it didn't last. My so called keyworker left before ever seeing me and far from getting another one I was just left. I was only told because I rang them saying what's happening I should have seen her by now.

You are MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES stop making it so hard for us to get your help. I have been chasing you now for 11 months this time round (8 years in all) and it's always the same. You promise (and you guys have promised) I will get support with my diagnosed conditions then next thing I know is you've referred me back to GP.

At times I would feel like I was ‘tutted’ at for phoning the crisis line, or made to feel silly for the way I felt. I felt that because I was ‘functioning’ with a roof over my head, that my needs weren’t as a priority as someone that maybe wasn’t. Which I totally understand, but during crisis you are completely blind sighted by anything else going on around you; and struggle to fight for the help.

Made it easier to access and be some staff to be more compassionate. Instead of staff ignoring the specific help you have requested; to listen and facilitate.

Absolutely appalled with the service. The communication is atrocious, promised call backs don’t happen when they say they will. Misread/incorrect notes held on patient. No consistency with staff members, both useless and dismissive, leading to no trust at all.

To actually care would be a great start. I wouldn’t accept another referral anytime soon to this particular team, [name removed] and [name removed] have really let me down.

I have had one or two sessions since 5 years ago, my parents are losing their minds trying to care for me properly I have become a burden to them both financially and emotionally, they are my support network not you, and frankly you just give me more pills that are killing me slowly, you need to focus less on the clinical side and get real your assessments mean nothing to my life and your diagnosis do not define me either, whilst I appreciate you are doing what you can, it has little real impact on the suffering I and my family are enduring.

More practical help and education on people's conditions so that their families can cope with them
