Everyone was understanding and sympathetic about my condition
Always had great treatment from Ipswich hospital - highly recommended
Every thing about the hospital was what I expected it would be
The nurse and consultant were very attentive and pleasant and made a worrying test very relaxing and I came away feeling much more positive.
My GP wrote a slip for a chest x-ray. I drove straight up there and was seen at once; only had to wait a few minutes. All very good.
I liked the way that there was someone in reception to direct me. Also that the signposting on what used to be a very confusing maze of corridors was much, much improved. The colour-coding of areas makes a huge difference, and makes the place seem less overwhelming, less huge and less impersonal. Funny that, but it does; it makes it seem smaller and more accessible.
Cleanliness was so-so. But I think the hospital, all round, is improving.
Very happy with my care x
I had a bad experience with Dr Morris, but have also been for blood tests and an ECG for me and my son - in the last two cases the hospital, though shabby, was clean and quiet, with very little waiting times. These experiences were very positive indeed.
I did have cause to take my son to A&E however - it was clean and the nurses were fine, but I was outraged that we had to wait in a tiny room with other children for four hours, only to be seen by a 'nurse practitioner' and never a doctor! I really don't think that's good enough considering how much doctors are paid, that they can't be bothered to turn up to work at the weekend. This is a generalised NHS problem however I suspect rather than a problem with the hospital. I would trust the Hospital generally to look after me or my family.
volunteers at the entrance were helpful
