All disabled parking for the eye clinic has moved and the street outside cannot be parked on when this could be used by blue badge holders. A number of disabled spaces were used by cars without blue badges and the car park opposite has no spaces near the gate that are specifically for disabled people. It is not good enough and makes the clinic inaccessible for those with limited mobility. More could be done to make sure that the spaces for disabled people are only used by blue badge holders across the site and more spaces need to be provided for the eye hopital. This is also true at castle hill on a very spread out site that is on a hill and there areb3 spaces nearbthe main entrance.

The staff were extremely good the only fault I had was the lack of something to do as I couldn't carry anything there was no access to a drink or other refreshments while you waited in the waiting area + having to use the ambulance service my times from leaving home to returning was extremely long the worst being nine and a half hours maybe if persons from far distances could be dealt with more quickly other than that everything else was great

Review of Labour Ward written by a patient

I was very happy with my experience on the labour ward,; my midwife was reassuring through out and gave me the confIdence I needed during the bIrth. Afterwards we were allowed plenty of time to prepare to move to the postnatal ward.

Review of Ward 33 (Rowan/Beech Ward) written by a patient
5th June 2017

I felt the time it took to respond to a request for paracetamol was poor. I asked three times between 1.30 pm and 6pm and was never given any. We weren't updated as often as the other parents on the ward and had to ask several times when we could go home. We were also not fully assessed about our daughters tongue tie which means we have to make a separate appointment to have this done.

Review of Fracture Clinic written by a patient

I cannot praise the staff enough for the way they dealt with my injuries caused by an accident. With all the recent media coverage I had a certain amount of worry that I would not receive the level of treatment and care that I hoped for. I can say that the care and attention exceeded my expectations and put me at ease at all times. If I was to make any suggestions it would be that the hospital should take control of its car parking facilities and administer them in a way that would see the huge profits reinvested in the facilities and estates rather than benefit a private company The only other issue would be that on arrival at the main entrance to HRI you are faced with running the gauntlet of smokers congregating near the entrance. As I have never had a single cigarette in my entire life I immediately pick up on the smell.

Review of Ward 33 (Rowan/Beech Ward) written by a patient
27th May 2017

We received great care from all of the staff whilst we were at hospital. All of the staff were polite and courteous and seemed genuinely committed to giving the best care possible. The midwives were in particular very helpful and always willing to offer help and advice any time day or night. The room we had was clean and fresh and plenty of natural light. The only slightly negative comment is regarding the car parking as this is far from ideal for a department of this size but that can be said of the whole hospital and indeed trust. Our experience was wonderful and we are so grateful to all who helped with our newborn baby girl. Thank you to all at Hull Women's and Children's department.

The care in the interventional Radiology Department was outstanding. I can only think of one major improvement which would cost nothing. When confined to a wheelchair as I am, it would be a blessing if there was a porter available to help you to get from the chair to the passenger seat of the car, as it's too much for my lady wife. There was no one to be found. Pity, as it spoiled an otherwise exceptional visit.

Review of A&E written by a patient
23rd May 2017

Although quite poorly and just having a hip replacement 2 days before (nothing to do with my admission) paramedic, ambulance staff nurses and doctor Joseph treated me with utmost care, kindness, gentleness and dignity. My heart rate was 180, with very low blood pressure. Dr Joseph was friendly, put me at ease, kind and explained carefully what procedure he was going to do. I was scared but felt much better very quickly, he diagnosed my problem and did as much as he could. Advising to go to my GP to be referred to a Cardiologist. Thanks so much to everyone involved.
