Review of Hospiscare - Hospice at Home
6th December 2023

The team was fantastic from start to finish. Wonderful, kind, caring and fun people. Great to spend time with. Better than 'very good' - off the scale!

Suggested improvements
1. It could be nice for hospital discharge to have a better understanding of the service as an alternative to district nursing and also which patients are likely to be eligible for hospice care at home. 2. It would be so nice to be able to see and thank the whole team, once mum passes away. We want to be able to thank hem and have some closure with the service.

In every respect, the nurses looking after my (now) late wife were exemplary in their care of her and of me and my immediate family.

Because it enabled my dad to pass away peacefully at home.

Suggested improvements
Please do not ask clients or family members to use the 111 telephone number. It is very frustrating when you need to talk to someone about an issue. They are not compassionate or they do not understand what you might be going through. There should be a hospice nurse on call to talk to, at all.
