Review of Hospiscare - Hospice at Home
16th April 2024

From the moment our darling Mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer and Hospicare were involved, they were there offering support and advice. Mum's final four days were very hard for her and the family but your nurses, Anne, Lisa, Tracey and Viv attended to Mum with such kindness and care - we will be forever in your debt and offer our heartfelt thanks for your wonderful services

I cannot fault the care and support that my late husband and I received. We were both treated with great care and compassion at all times. Absolutely nothing could have been done better.

Review of Hospiscare - Hospice at Home
2nd April 2024

Every Hospice are person I dealt with had a wonderful helpful, personal attitude and incredible patience. On a practical level everything was explained and the staff liaised with other NHS departments and organisations very efficiently. They eased a lot of the stress of the final days of my wife. She, herself thought the staff and service to be exceptional. I/we felt that they were here for us both. My wife's greatest fear was not death but whether I'd be ok afterwards. The obvious help and support from Hospice reassured her more than I could.

Suggested improvements
From the moment Hospice Care got involved, they were spot on with the level of involvement, explaining and offering, reassuring us both and monitoring Pat's health and needs. As her condition worsened they upped their involvement, matching the need day by day until the final moment. Earlier on the Navigator provided me with a break and also gave my wife a break from me ! She was a champion and never a stranger or just a sitter. I am in awe of people who can provide such efficient service while remaining so sensitive and pleasant - so no, nothing could have been done better.

She is wonderful. She has made this journey much easier. She has helped both on a practical level and an emotional level.

Suggested improvements
The other staff who walk with her tend to be different every time which has been challenging. The nursing staff who have been doing the syringe drives have been fantastic.

Review of CNS Team
21st March 2024

My dad was cared for by the Mid Devon ( Crediton ) team. The specialist nurse - Sarah , was fantastic. She sorted Dads TEP and JICB medication. She liased with the GP and sorted his medication. She gave symptom control advice and the team rang me regularly to check in how things were given . The team provided me with a friendly ear and Sarah listened and spoke with dad excellently. The team referred dad to the hospice at home team and Marie Curie nurses . Thank you
