Review of Wiltshire Eating Disorder Outpatient Service
9th May 2024

Lovely friendly clinician. I don't feel judged, feel really supported. I have spent years attending numerous slimming classes which I am sure has probably overall exacerbated my eating disorder, as had numerous amounts of conflicting information. This programme has changed the way I view food and my feelings/habits surrounding eating etc.

Suggested improvements
It was a long waiting list and I feel very lucky to have been accepted onto the programme as I know not everyone gets the opportunity. I truly believe this should be more widely available to those who have struggles surrounding food. This is much more informative than any slimming class I have ever attended and I feel would help so many people.

Review of South Buckinghamshire Mental Health Support Team (MHST)
8th May 2024

Jemimah was really personable and caring at all times. She listened to every worry we had and reassured us when needed. Her wealth of information and knowledge was brilliant. She answered any questions we had, gave us many ideas for how to deal with our children’s tricky behaviours and reminded us that we are doing a great job. Jemimah made us both feel at ease throughout all of our sessions. My husband felt comfortable to open up to Jemimah more than he has ever to any other health care professional. He found the sessions really interesting, informative and encouraging. It has completely transformed the way he now parents - he feels confident in dealing with any meltdowns that may arise and confident in his parenting ability. He is a fantastic caring father and just needed some encouragement and direction. His relationship with our daughters is stronger and our eldest now feels that she can talk to him. I am a TA in a local primary school and have a lot of experience with dealing with tricky behaviours and children in general, but Jemimah has made me feel more confident that I am a capable, strong parent doing the right thing for my daughters. And to follow my instincts as I am doing the right thing. I really cannot recommend Jemimah and the team enough. The sessions have been a lifeline in a really tough period in our lives. With our daughter being in and out of hospital for the past year, having PTSD due to medical interventions and now being classified as disabled we were really struggling. Jemimah has helped us in ways we didn’t know she could and we are so grateful. I hope that this service will be able to help many more families and parents in the Buck’s area as it is so beneficial and really worth its weight in gold. Thank you Jemimah a million times over. You really are amazing at your job! Steffie and Ollie

Review of Chiltern Crisis and Home Treatment Team
8th May 2024

Carol and Fiona along with Dr Tunde were brilliant. They immediately recognised how bad a place I was in and sensitively changed my medication and treatment route as and when I needed it. They made me feel heard and ‘normal’ in a time where I was confused, desperate and felt there was no way things were going to get better. I truly believe they along with the team on 24 hour calls, saved my life. I felt I got lots of check ins, and the support was constantly there for me and my partner.

Suggested improvements
The 24 hour phone access was brilliant but one thing that would have helped a little more was to have those people on call, know who you are and your situation. Sometimes it took a while for them to ‘look me up on the system’ which during very extreme times mad me feel a little like I had no one. This wasn’t the case for a lot of the calls – a lot of the time the team knew me, my situation, my coping strategies which was very helpful.
