When one compares it with the NHS it's a no brainer!
Having compared it with other service providers in the private sector, there is a good appreciation of what "service" means.
Excellent advice
The whole process from my arrival till I left was first class with my only reservation being that the time between my being taken to my room till the operation was about three hours and I couldn't see any point in needing to rest or doze that long. But all the conditions and the treatment were excellent.
I have only been once to see Dr. Baker but he explained my options clearly. I was impressed with the high standard of cleanliness and efficiency of all the staff I met. Andrea the nurse was very welcoming. A smile goes a long way!
I had a scan which was the first one available at 8am 10th October. There was a short delay but this was explained by reception. The radiologist Dr Papadopoulou was through with her findings and communicated throughout the scan which I appreciated.
Her assistant who I believe was called Ignacio was caring and made conversation whilst she checked the scans.
Having previously attended HCA London bridge the week before for a consultation and scan I noticed a clear disparity in the quality of care and service.
I was surprised that in the 4 days I was in the Cleveland that no one cleaned the floor of my room and that I had to make my bed each day.
The nurses were professional and very friendly.
I rated my interaction with the hospital as Good again, because while the standard of clinical care was outstanding, the standard of administration around the process was truly awful. I had to ask my surgeon's medical secretary to contact the admissions team three times before they actually responded with the correct information.
A professional atmosphere with warm and friendly people
