Couldn't get up to one of the appointments because the lift never works. Phoned bang on 8am no response for 90 minutes and then told I had to call at 2 as there were no appointments left. Had to go to to the hospital instead. Cancelled my appointment without reason or alternative just hours before my appointment. Completely useless.

Suggested improvements
Actually answer the phone. Give reasons or alternatives when cancelling appointments just before the scheduled time.

Firstly my husband phoned the surgery on Wednesday last week on 26/01/22 to make an appointment for me and our preferred choice was Dr .Rupa joshi who was due in on Friday.I was called by a doctor on Wednesday last week for an appointment which was given for Monday 31/01/22 but not knowing where this appointment was.went to surgery on Monday 31/01/22 As per appointment for 11:30 only to be told your appointment is not here but at winnersh surgery.my surgery is at woodley centre not in winnersh and this information should be clear.I thought this was appalling of how I was treated and don’t get an appointment with the doctor you require to see all unhelpful.

Need to see the doctor I require to see to resolve my long term issues I have had for a long time and no one has been helpful.

Ordered repeat prescription online 2 weeks before medication ran out. Was advised by receptionist,when phoning to enquire if ready to collect, that it hasn’t been ordered as ordered too far in advance! Wanted to give feedback but was advised to put complaint in writing, which I won’t do as wasting Nhs time. Should be something on your website advising not able to order in advance

8 AM, phone line opens for appointments. I Had to dial a total of 78 times taking 20 minutes to get through to a recorded message. Press 1 for urgent medical care...so I press 1 as my 18 month old had blood in and around his ear hole (Not still bleeding as I would have taken him to A&E, but to relieve that service, I chose to use the local doctor). Receptionist answers and informs me this line is reserved for if you have chest pains or require an ambulance. So why does the recorded message not say that? And if you had chest pains or needed an ambulance why not ring 999? Anyway, I had to dial through repeatedly again, taking another ten minutes before the line was free. Now I'm on hold in a queue of four people wanting to speak to a receptionist, another six minutes passes before I speak to a receptionist who can book me an appointment. The surgery is generally reasonable, but the appointment booking system is appalling. I can only assume the surgery is far too oversubscribed and unable to cope with the volume of patients trying to get appointments.
