I feel that the surgery and the staff far exceed expectations of the NHS. I used to have a doctor in North London and if you had a 10am appointment so did 20 others and the waiting time was 2-3 hours. I have never waited more than ten minutes at this surgery and the care and attention is second to none.
My family and I have been patients here for some 15 years and am very satisfied with the surgery overall and (most of) the doctors. All the senior GPs are very experienced, friendly and helpful. Most more junior staff also tick the boxes bar a mere couple of experiences over the years where I did not feel as confident in the care provided as if had seen one of the senior doctors. But that is part of reality IMHO and one can also influence who to see.
Above all I am very impressed with the very short waiting times that range from 20 minutes right down to a couple minutes averaging 10 which is miles better than what I remember from growing up in Germany where I suffered waits up to 2 hours with appointment.
The doctors and nurses are all friendly, caring and attentive. I have been a patient of this practice for 15 years and received exceptional service throughout. They have provided my annual well man checkup and always commented on the results. I have suffered two serious issues, one requiring minor surgery which was successfully undertaken by Dr Johal, and the other requiring referral to a consultant. The practice got both diagnosis correct and followed up with after care. I cannot fault their service.
Yesterday the surgery nurse Leesa contacted me to offer the flu jab. I requested the next well man blood test at the same time. I was given a same day appointment, attended early and was out within 10 minutes of arrival. Again exceptional. THANKYOU.
What can I say which has not already been said. Superbly caring and attentive. I am 83 years old and would not still be here but for them. Everything the practice does is done with great skill and application with the added bonus of showing with great humour that nothing is too much trouble.
I have never even contemplated reviewing a Surgery before as I have only had poor experiences of them. I usually have had to spend hours sitting in a waiting room.
Not so with Twickenham Park. They seem to have an incredibly efficient system whereby you phone after 8.30 a.m. for an appointment and in my experience that is usually within a few hours of calling on the same day.
Occasionally, it has not been possible to phone at that time but I have always been seen, sometimes at very short notice.
I cannot fault it in anyway.
