Phoned the Surgery to book an appointment but got the usual don't come down and 'Due to covid' crap recorded message (talk about milking it) then got cut off, went to the website to book an appointment and the online appointments were suspended for that day and call the surgery at 8am tomorrow. Because I was at work I phoned in the early afternoon and was told by the recorded message I was number 3 in the queue, 32 minutes later I finally spoke to the receptionist who was as helpful as toothache!! Polite but couldn't care less. I asked to make an appointment and was told you have to phone at 8am to get an appointment for that day, I was asked what the problem was and since when has a receptionist been a trained medical practitioner?!? If i wanted to tell someone who had no idea medical experience of a personal problem i'd go on Facebook!! I was diagnosed a year ago with a "vestibular schwannoma" (Brain Tumour) and although it's benign it's growing and I have headaches, loss of balance etc. Even though I made this clear to the medically trained receptionist it made absolutely no difference, she asked "if you think it's an emergency" !! Emergency... what do you think!?! In the end I said I would go and see the Chemist, and she was happy with that. What a wonderful caring HNS we have, thanks for nothing!
The majority of my times spent at Petersgate Medical Centre have been fantastic, most of the doctors and staff, have been welcoming and friendly. I have been a patient here for the past 19 years. There is however, one issue, one major issue that I have had. And that is that Dr Pieri has been working there. Each time I have gone to see him about issues, such as my behavioural issues, he has knocked me off with “Anger Management.” When it turns out, no, I have autism. Issues with my leg turned into “There is no issue, he’s trying to skip school.” NOPE, turns out, I have atrophy in my thigh that seems to have been going on for the past fifteen years or so at this point. I have been brushed off by Dr Pieri, and told that I don’t have issues that have been diagnosed by other doctors, even at this practice. Dr Pieri has caused me no end of issues, physically and mentally, by negligence.
3 weeks to get an appointment about mental health. Told by receptionist to try call on day explained work patterns don't allow to be told nothing they can do.
The nurse taking bloods hasn’t the first clue about hand hygiene, first touching door handles, the reception release button and computer keyboard then palpating a vein to take blood. The cotton bud and etc laid on the desk next to the keyboard used to then cover the puncture. She also gave me information about providing a sample for pathology which was alarmingly innacurate. Twice this surgery have failed to inform me of blood test results when I’ve had urgent prescriptions and should have been informed that medication had been made available to alleviate my illness. I can’t say I’m impressed. The reception staff are however very helpful and I haven’t had a bad experience with any of the doctors.
Rubbish, been trying 3 weeks for appointment, never any availiable, rang 105 times on 29-10-18, looks like DRI, then surgey gets billed!!
