As an asthmatic, I found myself in need of advice and unexpectedly out of medication. When I called my provider, Tow Law Surgery, a satellite of The Medical Group, I was told I could not speak to anyone for a week. I called Meadowfield many times but never got an answer. I called Tow Law again and asked for a referral to A & E. I was told I could not attend A & E, so I called NHS 111. No answer. I wrote to the NHS to complain and requested a call back. No answer.  While I am sure that not all of the staff are culpable, judging by the similar experiences of friends and family and previous difficulties contacting the Medical Group, I can only conclude that they are perhaps too busy making Tik Tok video's to pay attention to either the telephone or the needs of patients. Tired of the same lame worn out excuse 'Corona Virus' and hoping I do not have an attack in the meantime, I have asked a friend to post the medication I need from Spain.

I completed an econsult form a week ago and I’m no further forward with my condition.

All I got was an email response, not even a chance to speak to a dr, to reply, or to ask any questions. Just told to do a urine test. When I collected the test and returned the test, I wasn’t given any information. The last time I did a urine test was 15 years ago when I was pregnant. How am I supposed to know what to expect? How long the results take? That I’m supposed to call the surgery for my results? So a full week later, I’m still in discomfort and no further forward.

I am a retired Gent living in Ushaw Moot Durham. I’ve been having eye problems ever since the end of 2019 and I attended this surgery because one eye is not moving as it should. I have constant dry eyes and I can’t even drive. I am also a Diabetic and have Heart problems after suffering with three heart attacks I just feel that I haven’t been correctly diagnosed or given a treatment plan that works because I’m no further forward. No prognosis has ever been mentioned and reception are always way too busy to chat with. I don’t like complaining but I need medical intervention because my eyes are causing me a lot of pain but I just feel like I’ve been left to get on with it I am a Carer for my wife so if I go down so will my wife Please can someone help me

Just rang the practise to enquire about evening appointments which are no longer available to book online. Spoke to a lady called Janet who was very sarcastic and had very poor customer service skills. The other staff are fantastic but as the reception staff are often the first people you speak to, it is important that they treat you with respect which was lacking today

Unable to obtain required medication to treat my condition/illness. I have attempted to resolve numerous times through GP, consultant and secretaries to no success. I am suffering continuing long term pain and a number of other symptoms along with it as a result. There is no light at the end of the tunnel and remain powerless as to its outcomes.
