The GPs are generally very good if you can see a regular GP for an on going issue. However, the reception staff are extremely unhelpful and very rude, they do not care about personal difficulties and have no interest in helping out the patient. The most stressful part of trying to get an appointment (other than having to wait at least a month) is having the receptionist either disregard your needs or try to tell you information about your long standing health condition. With receptionists that clearly have medical degrees why would you even need an appointment. I am trying to find another GP surgery just so I do not have to deal with the receptionists here again.

I have been having an intermittent problem which has been minimal at routine appointments but flared up suddenly today. Thinking that it might be useful for my doctor to see it in this state I asked if this would be possible. In fact I saw the duty doctor and was very happy with the explanation that emerged as we talked. Due to rotas and the holiday season, continuity of care has relied on good notes and has worked well. Throughout, I felt that the attitude was that we were working jointly to solve the problem and I appreciated this approach.

The service at the Manor Practice is exceptional. I have never had a problem with any of the staff, I saw Dr Thomas and as always he was wonderful. He really cares and is very kind and helpful. I always feel I can trust him and his judgement. A big thank you to all at the Manor Practice.

All the staff are very good. Appointments are not too easy to get but think this is a nationwide problem (too many people). the only thing that lets it down in the online experience Web site is not at all user friendly difficult to find things and the user ID is a great long number (not of your own choosing) so is impossible to remember, so you have to write it down and then cannot use the service unless you have the relevant piece of paper to hand.
