Takes at least 7 minutes for receptionists to answer the phone on average. Receptionists quite patronising and uninterested. Doctor gave me an examination twice, once to check and second separate time during same session to take a swab but failed to spot I had a forgotton tampon inside. Am lucky to be alive. Several a&e visits, 2 gynae appts, 1 blood test and lots of infections later I'm going to be ok. No thanks to this practise. Am in process of making formal complaint.

Cosultant's secretary had to chase the practice for the results of a blood test which was conducted on 8/11/16, today is 5/12/16. I had asked originally for the result to be forwarded and then repeated the request which wasn't carried out. When I contacted the Cosultant who had been awaiting my results he had to get his secretary to contact St Andrews. This is 4 weeks after the test.

The only plus about this Surgery is the Doctor's! To get a appointment is awful you could be waiting well over a month to the Doctor that has been assigned to you.

I always try to call St Andrews M. P. from 8:30am. I never even get in the line before 9:00am, the line is simply busy. When finally someone answers the phone they tell me they don't have anymore appointments. This same thing happened today when I called for an appointment for my poorly 4yo daughter. Now I have to go to the hospital with two under 5yo and sit there for 2-3 hours if not more with a poorly little girl who couldn't sleep all night.

I would not recommend this surgery to a friend as it already has more patients than they can accommodate in a timely manner. The extremely long wait for a routine appointment to see any GP is so frustrating and a simple condition can escalate to a complicated one in the waiting period. Is 3 to 4 weeks wait to see a GP unreasonable? If so, then perhaps the practice manager or a practice GP could tell us what they are doing to reduce this time.
