with many medical conditions there have been times when I have sought advice from the gp when an appointment is not available, I have found the receptionists, will at such time message the GP with my concern in order that he can contact me, if he feels it relevant. Very frustrating,needed to check if letter re medication for my 17 yr old was received from CAMHS because it was needed by SEN for an EHCP and the surgery would not give me any information. I am parent and AA for my 17yr old son who has special educational needs and mental health problems. This information governance wrongly interpreted and how problems are caused with information not being shared with other agencies involved.The other problem is the doctor not even looking up at you when talking to him. I am a healthcare professional and aware of time constraints but it is important to look at our patients and more importantly, that we listen to what our patients says.

The waiting room at Meadow Parade in Rottingdean is warm and friendly. I prefer it to the larger more modern waiting rooms as it feels more homely and relaxing. The receptionists are warm, friendly and very caring. They will always do their very best to help and put you at ease when you arrive at the surgery. The Doctors are experienced, professional and efficient. Recently, one of the Doctors tenaciously chased a hospital referral on my behalf until I received the surgery I needed. The new on-line repeat prescription and appointment system is great and in my opinion, the Meadow Parade surgery is one of the best!
