No matter how busy the doctors & nurses will always make time for you if you need it. Not all illnesses can be see and they really know how to fix the ones that can't. They really are a credit to their profession & I feel lucky to have a surgery like Riverside.
We have been with the surgery for about 4 years now and not once have we waited less then 25 minutes to be seen. I understand that emergencies happen and clinics run over but the lack of communication about at the time is dire. Having waited 3 1/2 weeks for an appointment in a day I don't work I then had to wait for almost an hour with a lively four year old who had completely reached the end of her ability to sit still and be quite by the time I was seen. By this time the appointment was very difficult for myself, the GP and my daughter. Had we known they were running 30 mins late I woulda have gone out for a bit a come back.
On this occasion it was very easy to get an appointment as I think I was lucky to go online when there had been a cancellation, so got one the next day. If I didn't take that one I would have to have waited at least two weeks. The online/ advance appointments does not seem to work. Phoning in early on the morning and then having to justify the reason you want an appointment I find very subjective.
I could not fault the attention given to me by Dr Patel, he was very thorough.
My low score for the receptionist was because I didn't deal with one.
Wanted a BP checkup with a nurse , was offered an appointment the same day , or any of the three following days -- prompt or what !
All staff friendly and efficient -- not really sure how they could improve.
I don't have cause to visit often, but I've always had good supportive care whenever I have, both from doctors and nursing staff.
