The doctor was very cold and unsympathetic. The information I was given wasn’t correct and this has been verified by other specialists and our SEN coordinator since.
Everyone at the Surgery is amazing and can’t do enough for you but when you have ongoing several chronic conditions including three autoimmune diseases it is difficult to have to wait for what would have been a on same day or next day visit to surgery appointment if feeling slightly unwell and being reassured by GP when you have so many chronic illnesses, what is now 3-4 weeks for the same ‘routine now a telephone call’ appt.
Also, so important to see Your main GP when you have a lot of chronic illnesses so you don’t have to start explaining from the beginning how/why they overlap etc. Yes they’ve got the computer info but the history can go back 30+ years!
Also, frustrating when you can’t make your own bookings as previously on line!
If emergency in how your feeling or illness this surgery is totally amazing from Reception to GP!
My last appointment was cancelled due to staff absence.
I’ve been with Mill Rd Surgery since I was a teenager (I’m 42 now) and I’ve received nothing but the best, everything I’ve needed regarding treatment for my IBD, my arthritis and help with my mental health has been offered and I’ve been told things to help when I have particularly bad days x
The whole team at the surgery from reception to the nurses and doctors have always been extremely helpful in my sons care.
