I rang to book a telephone appointment on Thursday and received the call on Monday as planned but earlier than was expected, which was helpful. Dr Dann took the time to explore my ideas, concerns and expectations of what I wanted from the appointment. We have never met before but he had briefed himself on the relevant elements of my medical history. He asked lots of open questions in a calm, structured way which did not feel like an interrogation. He explained things I needed to know and enabled me to take some ownership of my symptoms by sending over links to information to make informed decisions, a questionnaire and a diary. He explained everything very clearly and arranged follow up for further reassurance. I feel like we can work together to make decisions about my health. He also signposted me to the Engage consult service so I can book my next appointment via the website and invited my to come and use the health monitoring equipment in the surgery so we have some baseline results for my record. For the first time I feel like I have been heard, understood and am able to work together with my GP because he has enabled me to contribute to my own health care. Although I have never had any complaints about any staff at this surgery, I highly recommend Dr Dann.

Spread the word about all the facilities available via the website / Patient Access. These resources are excellent and designed to alleviate some of the pressures on patients and practice staff. I don't feel that the first port of call for patients is the website, so making this more common knowledge may help workloads. Maybe use of social media is a useful way of interacting with the type of patients who would benefit most from these resources. There is always such constant bad press for GP surgeries, I really don't think people appreciate all the improvements which have been made over recent years - spread the word!

It’s not as easy obviously these post covid days, but personally I have never found it to be difficult. I am fortunate in having pretty good health most of the time, and am only slightly asthmatic but when I became quite poorly with this chest infection they could not have responded better. Within 2 hours of phoning the surgery for a second round of medication Dr Dann invited me to the surgery where he performed an examination and other tests, prescribing more meds and a puffer. He then arranged X-rays and blood tests which were carried out 2 days later and this evening I have been phone by Dr Kon

I feel that I’m blessed to be with Harold Road surgery. Having been with them for many years, I realise that there have been one or two problems, mainly with getting through on the telephone for appointments, but overall the care and kindness shown to me has been excellent. I have had many health problems in the past couple of years but have been cared for by Dr Dann, for whom I can’t give enough praise and thanks.

The telephone appointment system can be a little difficult at certain times of the day.

I sadly don't recognise this surgery any more.. The level of care for mental health patients is shocking and extremely damaging . The hostility and lack of care shown is breath taking and needs looking NOW!!

Look into the treatment of mentally unwell patients and come up with a plan that will protect and help them. I question the integrity of one mental health nurse at the practice,it is shocking that he seems to be allowed to treat patients with contempt and total disregard.

Had a home visit from locum Dr Harrington Wonderful Dr very personable Spoke to my 86 year old mother put her at ease She did and said all the right things a very lovely down to earth dr Just what the dr ordered
