Disappointing wait for appointments. To see a preferred Doctor 1-4 weeks. When arriving for appointments, the screen says 0 minutes wait (I.e. Doctor is on time with appointments) however, it's a very different story in reality and I have been waiting for up to an hour, on every appointment and so have my family members. My time is just as important as the Doctors' and I feel it is abuse of my time to be kept waiting more than ten minutes after your appointment time. Obviously extenuating circumstances are unavoidable, but these waiting times seem to be more of the norm now. It is unacceptable. More time should be allowed for appointments and Doctors' should be working longer hours and evenings/weekend surgery should be absolutely necessary.

Since I moved to the area more than 40 years ago my family have been patients at what is now the Frimley Green Medical Centre and have always been very satisfied with the quality of care we have received. I am becoming concerned though about the availability of appointments now that several of the GP`s there are moving to a 2 day week and cannot see this situation improving. In my opinion it can only get worse at a time when the needs of my wife and myself are only likely to increase as we age. I would be interested to know how many man hours of consulting are available in the practice now compared with , say, 2 years ago and if this has reduced how the practice intend to close the gap at a time when the number of patients must be increasing due to the number of new house which are going to be built in the area.

I would like to be able to know more about the various conditions that affect me. For instance, I suffer heart failure and feel sure that I could be taught how to change my lifestyle to lesson the effects of this condition.

I would just like to thank Dr. Tanner who recently helped my daughter and her son when they were visiting a few weeks ago. He made them feel as though there was someone on their side even though they didn't belong to the surgery. I would also like to praise the ladies in the pharmacy who always have a smile for you and are always helpful.
