Fern House Surgery

More people to answer the phone at peak times. I always have to use 'ringback' to get a chance, and then it takes a few times.
The surgery is located in town which is easy to access. There are both male and female doctors to choose from. The receptionists do their best to check everyone in quickly. Parking could be improved if more spaces could be found. The tanoid system is hard to understand for people with hearing problems, perhaps a visual display system where your name flashes up would be useful.
Very friendly practice , staff are efficient and understanding.
The Receptionists are excellent, friendly and helpful. They are also very well informed.
All the Doctors and Nurses have been very helpful. The Dispensary is also very helpful.
Some of the Doctors also go to Wickham Bishops Surgery, which I have used. This is also a very way to treat patients if it is difficult to get to Witham.
I have been a patient with Fernhouse for many years and have been impressed by the service and facilities provided by all the staff.
Unfortunately the building is old and tired and not custom built for a modern surgery, serving the needs of a growing population.
The staff do an excellent job in difficult conditions.
Why do receptionists have to take phone calls when they are dealing with patients waiting to book in or make appointments. Surely phone calls should be dealt with elsewhere thereby alleviating the often growing line of patients presenting in person.
