It is relatively easy to get an emergency appointment but for a less urgent condition the wait is often a week or more. For instance I had to make an appointment because I had an earache which I didn't consider urgent but is painful and have had to wait a week for an appointment. Perhaps there could be some appointments reserved for 1 or 2 days ahead for painful but not urgent appointments.

On-line booking system enables you to get an appointment at short notice and can pick from a selection of GP's.

Very difficult to get to see same doctor again, which is essential for continuity of treatment and care. Other doctors in group practice may be equally good but difficult to strike the same rapport every time you see a new face examining you.

Both my wife and myself find the receptionists most helpful, polite and friendly. Any small query and they are there ready to resolve it for you The surgery is always very clean and tidy despite the considerable people traffic it experiences. We have found our prescriptions are always dealt with promptly and if we have a special need the staff always manage to respond to the request. We normally see Dr Jaitey who as far as we are concerned does a fantastic job, she is always most helpful, friendly and appears to be most knowledgeable. If the problem is outside her field she is always very quick to refer us to the correct alternative specialist.

We have been registered for many years with this surgery and were always satisfied with the set-up and the Doctors, Nurses and other staff. Many changes have in recent times affected the NHS. The almost complete change of Doctors at the surgery recently was very upsetting and we missed our Dr Cashman who knew us well. In place of those Doctors departed we were confronted with a number of new and unknown faces which caused us much consternation. However things have settled down and we are quite satisfied. I do like the ability to use the internet to arrange repeat prescriptions and make appointments. This arrangement is much more convenient than using the phone or personally attending to make prescription requests. Well done.
