Once you understand how the - on the day appointment system works - it’s very straightforward to get an appointment or a telephone appointment. There are extended appointment times - early morning /late evening, in addition to the option of attending other surgeries. They also release on line appointments twice a day. Once you have got your head around the appointment system, you will get an appointment.
The issue of giving a brief outline of your symptoms to the Patient Services advisors may feel like they are being intrusive but they will direct you to the right healthcare practitioner and they are trained to be helpful and discreet. You are not expected to give graphic details just a brief outline. Again, once you’ve got your head around this, you are more than likely to be seen on the day you telephone.
I was advised to reattend the surgery if a severe inflamed throat had not cleared up after a week, i arrived 10 minutes early for a 2 pm appointment, the nurse practitioner arrived at 2.20 pm twenty minutes late no apology was given for this delay, i was examined and she agreed that my throat was still inflamed, i was then asked if i had the internet at home and told to go and research vegetables that would boost my immune system, when clearly my blood test showed that my vitamin levels were normal, waste of my time attending and was treated like a child or someone without a brain
Extremely hard to get an appointment and receptionists rude
You ring first thing to get an appointment and they have none receptionists are nosey wanting to know what your problem is also online booking is a waste of time you are looking at around 3 weeks for an appointment.
In 8 minutes they had given out all of their appointments so I was unable to see a doctor regarding depression and anxiety problems, don't bother with them.
