Cross deep surgery is exemplary in all aspects. The nurses are a professional group of smiling people approachable and highly skilled and reassuring. The Doctors are of the highest calibre and also approachable and always willing to discuss concerns and to make time and refer you on and pursue these concerns until a resolution is found. The reception staff are highly efficient and helpful. The whole surgery has an overall feel of efficiency and professionalism. The interior is bright and airy as are the consulting rooms . All staff dress in a highly professional manner and the nurses are in full uniform making them easily recognisable. We are lucky to belong to Cross Surgery and we have seen many changes over the years each one improving the service for the benefit of us all.My husband of 72 years and his parents before him have been patients since Cross Deep surgery was first opened and i have only ever heard good things about it.

Had a few problems and delays getting repeat prescriptions issued, but apart from that very good. More early morning and evening appointments than other surgeries locally.

It took a long time to get the practice to authorise the radiation treatment of my wife's brain tumour. Perhaps the protracted steroid treatment that this necessitated caused the pneumonia that killed her. She would have died of the uterine primary that she refused treatment for anyway. Nobody told her the cancer was lethal. No GP attendance to her pain in the cottage hospital nor to the pneumonia for which she was hospitalised too late.

The surgery has an online booking service this is particularly helpful. SMS reminders are proactive and essential (for me). The surgery also make submission of samples for pathology a simple process. The receptionist service is excellent. Prior to registering with a local practice in Twickenham, 2013, I reviewed and presented myself at all the local surgeries. Cross Deep was by far the most professional; both attitude and the quality of the environment much better than other local, purpose-built, facilities for patient privacy. I hope the surgery will not be restricted on their site for future growth of services. A converted/extended residential building it has been successfully fitted-out and is clean. But I see they are already developing limited (mother and baby?) ultrasound service and this has a fantastic potential for patients rather than visiting urgent care at the ED, or for chronic care follow ups, or perhaps acute outreach (eg lipid monitoring) services. I hope the surgery are given development support by local commissioning group to prepare scenarios for future development of these services in the next 10 years. The surgery could probably lead locally on this and possibly extend to other chronic care management (physio/diabetes/mental health) and lead a world class well-being and screening, pathology model for the UK. Perhaps on the old used lido site? That would be a great community use!
