I attended the surgery in early October with breathing difficulties. Turned out to be a viral chest infection. I was seen immediately and everyone from the receptionist to the doctor and the nurse who popped in to see me whilst I was being nebulized were simply brilliant. Yet again the NHS comes up trumps. I was a tourist and very grateful to be sorted out so quickly and sympathetically. It happened to be my birthday so it was great that I could still enjoy the rest of my day. Thank you all!
Whenever I telephone the surgery the receptionists are most helpful and polite, if I am unable to see the GP that I may have seen last I am always seen by another member of the practice who I find excellent. I have had many years in Health care myself and have never ever come in contact with any practice that I can honestly say I feel comfortable with. A true family doctor feel although i am aware that they can be terribly busy they never "fob you off" or look at the computer screen instead of making eye contact which as happened when I lived in England (because I was in the NHS there) I have been back in Wales for a number of years and I am glad to say every medic that I have come in contact with has made me feel 100% in their capabilities. I am sure that we patients of this practice will be sorry to see the departure of Dr Lewis but she is i am sure will be a great asset in palliative care.
