The receptionists are all very helpfull and polite
The only thing I have a problem with its hard to get an appointment on the same day or next day you are asked to ring back at 8 in the morning but by the time you get through on the phone any spare appointments have gone for that day so you have to actually go to the surgery for 8am to get an appointment sometimes you are expected to wait about a week or more unless it's urgent
I wanted to get an appointment for my 2 year old Son, and when I eventually got through to reception I was told there were no appointments and to call the nhs direct. I called the nhs direct and was advised that my son needed to be seen within 12 hours by his local doctors. When I re called the surgery and a message was sent to the doctor and I was told to take him to a and e! There were no appointments. Eventually after visiting two chemists and calling the nhs direct twice I got a late appointment. It turned out that on the previous two times my son had antibiotics he was never given enough to kill the infection which was why he was so ill. The doctor I saw this time was extremely professional and throughly checked my son giving the right dosage of medicine to make him better. I feel that children should get priority appointments, especially when assed by the nhs direct and told he has to be seen.
Really if you want an appointment your best to call weeks in advance, just in case the appointment is needed.
