I am a nurse, I'm happy to see a nurse practiceoner, GP trainee or any doctor, as they all treat me well, and have instant computer access to my history, so no continuity problems. I find it easy to talk to all the staff re any problem. I keep a few simple notes for my own memory, so can give a clear report. We are lucky bin this village. Ive never had to go to the other surgeries. Its good to be able to walk to the docs if you are well enough. I like the BP in the waiting room and auto check in. the staff come out to call you. Una Duffy 64 years.

Like most GP surgeries it is almost impossible to get an appointment within three weeks. The only real way to be seen quickly is to book an emergency appointment or be stuck waiting a month for an appointment. Would be more sensible if there was a separate GP for patients that require ongoing care so that they do not clog up the remaining GPs for patients that need to be seen. I know some people in this village are old but they clog up the surgery and appointments...Need a two Tier system - Patients that need to be seen urgently and then the old and infirm who spend most of their last years sitting in that waiting room.

dreadful customer service by receptionists who carry on having private conversations and keep you waiting to speak to them. No consideration for working families in trying to get appointments. Never any appointment slots available until a few days later!

No matter how good the service we want more or better service, this comes at a price, either Drs doing even longer hours (not an option) or people turning up for their appointments and in time. It can be frustrating to wait and on occasions when I have been in with a Dr for probably 3x the allotted time it reminds you that is why the surgery is running late, however and there is always a but it is frustrating when you are the first appointment of the day and you can hear all the chatting and 15 mins past your appointment you are called in to see your Nurse/Dr. My last few appointments have been telephone based and one was following a blood test telling me to stop taking a particular drug immediately I was hands free in the car and had to remember which drug to stop later on that surely these could be sent via text or e-mail. All in all we are very fortunate to have a team of Drs and nurses who look after us very well.
