Receptionists are totally incompetent and completely messed up an urgent referral and then wouldn’t admit their mistake, thereby resulting in further delay. They were very rude and had no customer service skills. In the end had to insist on speaking to a doctor who admitted the mistake and incompetence of the receptionists. Going to move to another surgery as now don’t trust them with the care of my husband.

I find it very hard to get an appointment everytime I contact reception, this is due to noy being able to make appointments in coming days and being told to call back tomorrow at 8.30am. I start work at 8am and am not in a position to call at that time. I have also had problems in the past with the receptionist not knowing what a FIT note is.

On quite a few occasions now the receptionist has been rude on the phone whilst trying to make an appointment. Only when you persist, all of a sudden there is an appointment available to you. Today was the most recent instalment where I called to get a procedure completed by a nurse that takes 10-15 minutes. I was told by the receptionist that there were no appointments with the nurse for the next three weeks. Have given up on this practise due to the battle with the receptionist and will move to another practise.
