Dr Martin listened carefully to the problem, carried out a physical examination, asked a number of relevant questions and listened to and noted the answers. She then said that she would arrange a hospital appointment and explained what this would involve.and gave an estimate of the probable date of the appointment and the probable duration of the consultation.
