1. Why are Patford House taking on new patients when they can’t even help the ones they already have. 2. I logged into urgent care for an appointment today and even with my NHS number you claimed I was not a patient at Patford House. I know I don’t have the easiest of surnames but with an NHS number provided that should not have been a problem. 3.I spoke to someone at the surgery about this at 8.09 told who me all today’s appointments had gone and to try Patches (the new Doctorlink) if I wanted an appointment as I would get an earlier appointment then if I booked through her (which is utterly ridiculous) why on earth do we have another app - surely one is enough, if they purport to doing the same thing. 4. Why do we have people at the surgery who can’t really help however nice they maybe., if you are feeling grotty you want someone to try and make you feel it’s not so bad , not constantly be told that you don’t exist by an app.I was also told that I would be contacting yes by the booking team (via text of course as.no one is capable of speaking to anyone). When I explained that when I have done this I always get sent appointments for the middle of the day which is hopeless when you work an hour away from home (even though I always mention this fact when I call). If people actually spoke to us they could probably gauge who is more in need. 5. I left. Beversbrook for many reasons and joined Patford House as they were so much better. I could get an appointment by speaking to someone, within a few days. I could go to my surgery in Sutton Benger (now on the off chance I win the appointment lottery (as opposed to a telephone consultation), I always get sent to Calne) and you’ve closed the dispensary which is such a shame as that was the one remnant of patient care that was left. Please I beg of you, stop taking on more patients, as you can’t look after the ones you have - or is it a numbers thing - the more patients you have, the better for the stats??? I know the medical profession is under pressure but this is just insane -because of this ludicrous system, people will be getting sicker than they need to be because they can’t see a doctor - which in turn will put more pressure on you. No one wants that.

Suggested improvements
Be able to get an appointment within a reasonable timeframe (days not weeks) without having to go online

What do the bookings team actually do? Why can we not just phone up and make an appointment any longer? My Wife phoned to make an appointment a few weeks ago, was left waiting for the Bookings Team to sort it. Get one allocated by Text at an inappropriate time, which could be avoided if you could actually talk to someone to make a booking. She has now been waiting over a week for them to call back with an alternative appointment. What also is the purpose of all the 'on line' systems that seem to be in place now? SystmOnline, Airmid, Patchs ... what is the purpose of each of them? Why are there three systems, do any of them actually allow you to book an appointment at a time convenient to the patient?

Suggested improvements
Almost every aspect of the website and booking system needs to be improved to make it patient focused again. Get rid of the bookings team that sit behind the scenes in anonymity, and allow people to ring up and make an appointment on the phone, or on line without all the delays and non communication that currently exists.

My husband waited 6 weeks to see Dr Church, turned up yesterday, to be told that "he had called a couple of weeks back to cancel the appointment"....Utter rubbish, and then, was told that they couldn't make him another appointment, and that that he would have to wait for the 'bookings team' to call him back. Prior to this, another Dr that shall remain nameless, saw my son over a 'serious mental health issue' and was completely unhelpful, and dismissive, it was clear he was ill equipped to be dealing with such issues. It's impossible to get through on the phones without a ridiculous wait, and the Dr Link system is a joke! I have just picked up registration forms from Northlands as a result.

Given the low ratings on reviews and the almost unanimous complaints about getting appointments, why is it the first and biggest thing on the website a big QR code trying to get even more patients to register? You cannot cope and provide a good service to those you already have.

Suggested improvements
I suggest you concentrate on helping those current patients to get timely appointments, rather than take on more which will almost certainly not improve the situation....

Every time I need to book an appointment for one of my children to see a doctor it fills me with dread and anxiety, as I know I’ll have a long stressful process of trying to get an appointment. Firstly when my baby was a few months old he was poorly I tried ringing no answer, I went into the surgery, the receptionist tried to send me away and to fill out an online request, luckily I did not leave the surgery as this was a waste of time as he was so young you could not do this process anyway. Was told I would receive a text message. I had to go back into the surgery at Beversbrook 3 times until finall I got an appointment at another branch but not urgently. Now comparing the treatment of my 1st born son ( which was excellent, if I Called up I could get through and as soon as I mentioned newborn, whether that be a rash, bad chest, they would always get me in that day as urgent). I had another bad experience trying to get my 2nd born son in with suspected scarlet fever & needed antibiotics, I explained the urgency as he had been coughing so much, blood was on the pillow that morning. Again could not get through on the phone. Went into surgery was told again by receptionist to fill out online request, he was under 4years old so was unable to do this again. Extremely frustrating at an already stressful time. I kept calm. Was told I would receive a text with appointment. When I finally got an appointment to see the doctor she did not diagnose scarlet fever and we were sent on our way. Later the next day my son was rushed to hospital with a raging temperature and delirious and immediately diagnosed with scarlet fever and the antibiotics given. I am now currently in the process of trying to get my 1st born son who is now 7years old seen for a earache and white growth in his ear so far we have had a phone call from a doctor and steroid spray given. After relentless attempts online and in surgery and over the phone to make an appointment. Wish me luck in trying to get a doctors appointment soon for my son where a doctor can look in his ear.

Suggested improvements
Everything. Start to bring back the care. Not just go online response. Especially if they are too young to go through this process. At least know the system yourselves, otherwise the public have no chance.
