Springwell Medical Practice

I’ve had a lot of medical issues over the years and, having travelled a fair bit, I’ve been registered at a lot of surgeries. Springwell is easily the best of any of them. The resident GPs I’ve seen are excellent, the only issues I’ve had have arisen from locums who have not been good at all. Maybe that’s why they’re locums - I don’t know. The receptionists have been incredibly helpful and friendly of late, despite the pressures they face. There was a period where they were quite fierce and blunt but I imagine that is how they have to be at times. Not an easy job at all -please treat them with respect. The seating area has been re-upholstered and there’s always adequate seating. There’s a new self check-in touchscreen which is good for those that can use it, takes pressure off reception staff and shortens queues. The toilets are clean and a key is now required. The nurses are always friendly and know what they’re doing with needles! The kids’ toys in the corner can be a bit noisy but I understand why they’re there. Think there’s a new text reminder system although I often get same day appointments. On the whole, I highly recommend Springwell and the Omnicare pharmacy across the road.
