I would be very helpful if they inform the outcome of any procedure/etc. I had a sample taken and had to call 20 days after to check if there were any news. The recepcionist just told me that it came back negative so they didn't thought they should inform me about it, which is extremelly weird.

I got sent on a wild goose chase from Tuesday to Friday this week. Looking for a missing prescription from the notorious 'Cambridge Street House' mental health unit. At first I was told the prescription had been received and was waiting at Lloyds Pharmacy for me. I went there, but they did not have any note of this. I had to return to the Bruntsfield Medical Practice a further five times in person to be told different stories! I also phoned a few times also. Today I found out that the surgery also had my old telephone number which I changed around eight months ago! ...I am very confused since my GP and other doctors at the practice have called me before, so why did the receptionist need to change my number again? Finally today Friday, someone from reception told me that the prescription or letter from 'Cambridge Street House' mental health unit had in actual fact NOT been received! ...to which information I was completely confused. Why was I told all week that my prescription would be fixed up 'tomorrow' or its waiting for you at 'Lloyds Pharmacy' !? Changing a very crucial mental health medication is a stressful enough experience already, but from the care I have received from Bruntsfield Medical Practice - you can see they obviously could not care less about me... well hey I am just a homeless loser with mental health problems, so why would anyone care or take responsibility for the likes of me. I get the same poor treatment everywhere all over Edinburgh.

I have been a patient at Bruntsfield Medical centre for over 25 years. The doctors and staff have always been very helpful, understanding and considerate.
