My brother is the patient but I have responsibility for some aspects of his Life. I live in Cornwall and obviously the distance can make things very difficult for me, especially when my brother forgets information or is not good at passing on relevant information (some of his conditions can sometimes make him forgetful). For the past 18 months or more, the Receptionists and my brother’s own doctor, Dr Edward Jones (in fact, all the doctors that have dealt with my brother), could not have done more to help me help him. Obviously there can be data protection issues but his doctor asked for us to be seen together so he could verify my brother actually did want me to be involved. My brother authorised that the Surgery can share his informataion with me and as such, they have ALWAYS been so helpful, empathetic and friendly too. I wanted to share my experiences as someone who is not an actual patient at Queen Camel Medical Centre. I have always found the QCM Team to be professional, respectful, so supportive and as I previously mentioned, friendly. I must add that my brother cannot speak highly enough about QCMC and especially about ‘Dr Ed’ who he trusts completely. Thank you to you all.
