Elmdene Surgery

It takes almost forever to get an appointment at this surgery. I was on the phone for 46 minutes before I got through. When I started the call I was number 5 on the queue and it took a whole 46 minutes to finally speak to the receptionist. I was number one for about 10 minutes which means they just ignore the phone because it doesn't take more than a minute to book an appointment with the doctor. When the lady finally picked up, she said she was the only one at the reception and had to attend to patients. This is really sad and something has to be done about this surgery. The attitude of the receptionist and some of the doctors when you finally go in for your appointment leaves a bitter taste in your mouth.

You can never get an appointment for the receptionists are rude and verging offensive if I’m being honest , I sadly miscarried 4 weeks ago and was told by the hospital that my results would come to the doctor and then I could have further check up there . I’ve called the doctors for the last 2 weeks both occasions have been told to explain what happened twice after already explaining my loss one receptionist said what did you say you lost what whilst shouting and then when I said can you just look at my notes and you will see if you can’t hear me then said “yeah your results are back but doctor ain’t got round to looking at them yet” so rang back 4 days later and was told after explaining AGAIN if I was a prompt response got to the hospital and the woman has a tone . If been through enough the results are quite critical and there just not empathy at all . Shocking

I was very disappointed as a young woman I got sent for an ultrasound after weeks of asking and now waiting weeks for results. When I’ve been calling I’ve been told doctor has not seen them but when my practice called they said nothing significant and to book appointment. Terrible service wouldn’t reccomend.

Fantastic doctors. Very caring and approachable. Reception staff rude, abrupt and obstructive. Seem to work to own agenda. Difficult to get appointment when needed at short notice.

Rude and arrogant reception staff. They need to seriously change their attitude otherwise they should quit as this kind of job requires lots of patience and mannerism which they highly lack.
