It was after I had an ablation at Barts which was very successful that unfortunately my daughter suffered terribly with an allergic reaction. As soon as the cyclizine was administered through the veins it had a immediate effect on her head.It made her head spin and she lost all feeling in her body she felt paralysed.She had no speech and her breathing went very shallow.Then the awful greyness and sweating was very alarming to me standing at the end of the bed. The nurses got assistance quickly and she was given oxygen and put on a drip.It was obviously a nasty reaction but I wanted to make people aware of the adverse effects to get help as soon as possible if they experience these symptoms.It lasted about 15 minutes.The worst 15 minutes of my life. My daughter has to tell doctors now about her allergy to this drug.

As I have had no side effects whatsoever, they just do as it says on the tin!

I suffer from nausea all my life as a result of trauma. Since using cyclizine it has really improved the attacks. It is also great when you get a migraine.

I have had this after a GA (general anaesthetic) a couple of times now. I have it as an injection (IM) which does sting a little as it goes in, but it is well worth that tiny discomfort as it totally prevents me from vomiting after the GA, I have had quite a few operations over the last few years, and was always very sick afterwards, that is now a thing of the past. I must say that I still feel nauseous, but I do not actually vomit and once I have eaten something my tummy soon settles down. With the confidence that this drug will prevent me bringing it back up again, I can slowly start taking food and fluids again to settle my stomach down.

I have this a regular basis and have had no ill effects from this.
