Mr Chitsabesan has looked after me since a couple of cysts were discovered during a CT scan for another suspected problem in January 2023. I have been delighted with the way he has dealt with things throughout the process. This involved the original consultation, surgery and immediate post-operative follow-up. I have just had my year 1 review over the phone - this was my choice as I now live in West Bridgford but am keen to stay with Mr Chitsabesan. He is able to inspire confidence and has a great skill at communicating medical matters in language that a non-medial person will understand. His approach to the surgery (both when it was being planned and then on the day) inspired confidence in what could easily have been a very worrying period. He has a great skill at dealing with the psychological side of treatment as well as the clinical operational part. I will do whatever I can to stay with him as my situation is kept under review an would unhesitatingly recommend him to others.

Mr Chitsabesan was friendly and professional. He clearly explained the three options for me (do nothing - open surgery or laparoscopic surgery) and the advantages and disadvantages of each. He helped me make a decision (in my case that was an open inguinal hernia repair) and carried it out successfully at the Nuffield Hospital. I have just completed my post-op review one month later and again, received an thorough explanation of how the repair was done, and answered all my questions. I could not have experienced better service, both from Mr Chitsabesan and the Nuffield. Thanks to the whole team.

Mr Chitsabesan was excellent throughout the whole treatment. At the initial consultation he listened and gave me full information of the procedure and all risk’s associated with the operation. On the day of the operation he again provided information on what would happen and post op communicated clearly how things had gone. On the follow up consultation he gave clear advice on when I could resume activities such as lifting, swimming and playing golf. Very happy with the process from start to finish.

I had an initial consultation with a follow-up 4 months later. I felt I was listened to and that there was plenty of time to ask questions. Everything was explained to me as we went through the consultation, and the diagnosis was made very clear, including why certain conditions could be ruled out. Time was available for me to clarify the instructions about my exercises and other aspects of my treatment. I was offered the option not to have a follow-up but I'm glad I went ahead with it as it gave me a chance to confirm that everything was going well. I felt comfortable discussing symptoms and asking questions, and though the physical examination could, potentially, have been embarrassing or even distressing, this was not at all the case.

From the very first minute of meeting Dr Chitsabesan, I knew I was going to leave my consultation very happy. The time he took to listen and then examine and explain was brilliant. At last I found a consultant who knows what the problem is. I followed his instructions and for the first time in thirty years I'm seeing a difference in my condition. No more suffering. This man is a true professional and a credit in his field of medisan.
