I thought at 61 i was going to be too young to have a knee replacement. I had severe arthritis (bone on bone) in my right knee due to a sporting injury some 30 years earlier. The pain stopped me from doing the activities that I loved. I went to see Dr Malek at Rowley Hall Hospital and following a MRI scan was told that a partial knee replacement was advisable. The care and attention that I received at Rowley Hall Hospital was exceptional, headed up by Mr Malek. He is truly a great surgeon but what struck me most was his kindness and ability to form a trusting relationship with me. I have worked in the NHS for over 40 years and understand what good care is. This was extremely good care. The operation was a success and I have no regrets whatsoever in having the operation. Thank you Mr Malek.

Having suffered with arthritis in both knees for 5 years I had partial knee replacement in both 3 months apart. Previously I struggled to walk much more than about 500m. Following the surgery and after 2 months I can now walk over 10km and participate in sport again. Mr Malek was extremely helpful and explained the operation clearly and also what to expect following. The care was excellent and he was very helpful on the day of each operation and in all following consultations.

I have suffered for many years with pains in my knees and was told I was to young for surgery. When I attended Rowley Hall Hospital on recommendation of a friend and I met Mr Malek for the 1st time, he was very informative, knowledgable, understanding and explained all the possible procedures. I explained that I didn't really have any quality of life due to the pain. He accepted me on his list and I have recently had a Partial Knee Replacement. My operation was very successful and I am looking forward to having my other knee procedure in the very near future. Highly recommended Mr Malek to anyone.

Mr Sabur Malek has given me my life back. I was suffering with arthritis in both my hips which really started to affect my life style. I saw Mr Malek the beginning of the year. After looking at my X-Ray he said he would be happy to do both my hips which needed doing. He made me feel at ease and explained clearly the operation to me. The recovery after my first surgery in March was amazing. I was back driving after a week and a half. Walking around the house after 4 weeks without a crutch. Second surgery in June was as good as the first. I’m now fully recovered and carrying out exercise without pain. You are never to young. I would strongly recommend to anyone needing hip surgery not to delay the sooner the better as these hips last well over 30 years and the best surgeon to do it in my opinion is Mr Malek at Rowley Hall Hospital. All the staff at Rowley Hall hospital were very friendly and helpful during my two stays.

From start to finish, I felt like I was in great hands with Mr Malek. He instilled me with confidence by informing me exactly what would be involved with my procedure and the care I received from the hospital staff was superb! My recovery has been exceptional and I believe that’s largely down to how well the operation was performed and the after care I received. I feel so much better that I’d rather like to have the other hip replaced now to! Haha!! I highly recommend Mr Malek and his team. A 5 star service all round. Thank you so very much
