I couldn’t have wished for a finer surgeon guiding me through my breast cancer journey. Mr Coombs has always made me feel safe and cared for, his clear and precise explanations are much appreciated . He takes the time to listen and guides you through your surgical process with expertise and compassion. I can never express how grateful I am for the care Mr Coombs has given me, he is exceptionally kind and generous with his time .

Mr Coombs was unfailingly professional, thoughtful and kind throughout my consultation appointments and on the day of my operation. His explanations were meticulous and I had every opportunity to ask questions. Nothing was too much trouble. I doubt I could have received better care. I recommend him unreservedly.

Well, what can I say about this lovely man. I was so impressed by everything about him. I have had two appts with him; on the first appointment I was very nervous but he put me at my ease with his calming manner. I only had to wait a week for my biopsy result but in that time I convinced myself it was going to be bad news so, on my second appoinment with him for the result, I was extremely anxious and felt physically sick with all the worry and apprehension, especially as the breast cancer specialist nurse came to chat with me after all my tests on my first visit and had a little book in which she made notes about my family history, etc. In the event it was good news although I have to repeat the biopsies in a few weeks just to be certain; I really appreciate Mr Coombs' thoroughness in double checking my benign results. If I could give him 10 stars for his dedication and professionalism, I would. Thank you.

I am grateful to Mr Coombs for his kind listening ear. He answered all my questions. He made me feel as if I was in caring very professional hands. I was very grateful he was able to offer me radiotherapy as part of the operation. This has meant my experience of breast cancer has been made less intrusive and caused far less anxiety. I was operated on treated with radio therapy and home the same day. There has been far fewer hospital vists. I compare my treatment to others I know and have read about and consider I have had the best on offer. I also know this treatment is not appropriate for everyone. However I consider I have been blessed by having a brilliant surgeon and up to date treatment.

Mr Nathan Coombs was extremely warm, kind and approachable. He listened, chatted and made me feel at ease. It is a very anxious time when, as a patient you have to wait to hear the outcome. By obtaining all the evidence first, mammogram/Screening there was very little waiting around. The team at GWH was faultless and made what could have been a very difficult time, a bit of a pleasure - to be honest. Well done and keep up the fantastic work.

My experience of being treated by Mr Coombs was a very positive one. I found him very easy to talk to and listen to. He was very empathetic when discussing my treatment. I was treated with dignity and respect at all times. I would not hesitate in recommending him to other patients needing breast surgery/care.

I have never been put so at ease during a hospital appointment. Mr Coombs has a friendly, welcoming manner and I really felt that whatever was going on with me, here was a doctor who I could trust to do his best for me. He listened to what I had to say and kept me me fully informed throughout my visit. I don’t really think I can see how they could improve or have given greater care, so thank you Mr Coombs and the staff around you.
