Worst experience I've ever had. Appointments each time we're exceeded by well over 2 hours. When I started on this journey I had very good distance sight but was frustrated with reading glasses. I Was initially advised, with emphasis, I was at great risk of macular degeneration. I believed going ahead with the lense replacement treatment would resolve this. This was my fault for not reading up properly but the clipped initial appointment didn't help my understanding. The surgery was a complete failure. In that I lost all distance sight from 6 ft onwards but improved reading sight. I was advised YAG surgery would help. This I went ahead with, which was in all a 2min blast at each eye, after having waited for 3hrs after my allotted appointment time. When I asked if this would resolve my issues I got a sideways glance and response of "it will help". I have now acquired a pair of distance glasses. A great result for over £9K and hours stressing at Moorfields.

I Have just completed my four weeks' worth of eye drops following my cataract operation on both eyes simultaneously by Mr Stevens and his team at Moorfields. My expectations were high but the results have well exceeded them. I can now see as well as I believe I have ever seen and my confidence in driving has returned in leaps and bounds which has been my primary objective. What has been a great bonus is my astigmatism has been corrected which took be back with quite a shock when I suddenly realised that the steering wheel in my car, which I always thought was offset, although nobody else did, is now perfectly square on. The pre-assessment carried out by Mr Stevens and his team was the most thorough examination I had had in my life which gave me the confidence to know that I had come to the best and it has proved to be so. The actual operation was short, painless and smooth and any anxiety I may have had on the day was soon dispelled by the Moorfield team who were very professional but at the same time very considerate. I believe having my cataracts removed is probably one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I had cataract removal and lens replacement on both eyes. Julian Stevens set up at the Moorfield Hospital ran like a well oiled machine. The assessments were quick and thorough and my consultation was relaxed and everything was explained in detail. I couldn’t be happier with the results and am thrilled to bits that friends of mine recommended Julian after having similar surgery with him and having been very happy with their results!

The whole of Julians team were friendly, supportive, knowledgeable and approachable. I would and already have recommended them to friends and family. Thank you.

Mr Stevens was brilliant from start to finish. As well as being at the top of his field, he was also able to describe the process and answer questions in as much or as little detail as we required. Both of us were made to feel confident and comfortable with the process, and the results have been excellent.
