When I was admitted to the Chesterfield Royal Hospital in March 2022 with a severely fractured leg, I was seen immediately by Mr May. After a scan I was operated on straight away. The skill and expertise shown by Mr May and his team was second to none. The time taken to explain a complex procedure and what would be needed subsequently was exemplary. It was obvious that an understanding of the human condition led to the treatment of the whole person, not just the broken bones. Every member of staff with whom I then came into contact treated me with such patience, care and professionalism and their hard work and dedication was unwavering. Without such quality and dedication I would never have made progress to a full recovery in the way I have. I have total admiration and respect for these amazing people who save lives on a daily basis . Grateful thanks to you all. Kath Auton
