Great result with both my hip replacements. Recovery was well ahead of schedule which is a tribute to the skill of Mr Hoad-Reddick.

Everything was fully explained to me in such a way that I had 100% confidence in the surgeon, his staff and the hospital. In particular I was able to see from historical records that the success rate was significantly better than the national average and indeed close to 100%. I felt that I could not have been in better hands.

I have had appointments with Mr Hoad Reddick over the last 8 years in relation to a hip replacement. I have always found him to be easy to talk to and extremely helpful, he always listens to what you have to say and you never feel rushed. I can honestly say that in my experience I would found it difficult to make any suggestions on how he could possibly improve the care he delivers.

After having experienced awful service from another Consultant in another hospital, he was very professional.He took his time to find out the exact problem and impact, was very reassuring and clearly experienced. The outcome was fantastic, better than expected.

He is honest, capable and efficient.
Both he and his “team” made the pre op and post op process as easy as possible for me to follow, resulting in my increased confidence replacing my initial trepidation.
If I needed further surgery on my other hip I would have no hesitation in consulting Mr Hoad Roddick again.
All that was missing from the process was an old fashioned Matron at the hospital. C’est la vie.

Mr David Adam Hoad-Reddick is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising
in hip and knee surgery. He is particularly interested in complex primary
and revision hip replacement surgery,, knee replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery of the hip and knee.
He was appointed as a Consultant at Wrightington Hospital in 2004. He
currently works The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, Manchester and the OrthTeam Centre in Didsbury.

Mr Hoad-Reddick qualified from the University of Manchester in 1994.
He underwent his basic medical training in the Manchester area and subsequently undertook his specialist training in orthopaedic surgery
at the Merseyside Specialist Training Rotation. He later completed
sub-specialist training at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston,
USA and at the Wrightington Hospital. He was appointed as the
Cavendish Hip Fellow and Clinical Lecturer in Orthopaedics at Sheffield University and the Northern General Hospital on completion of his training,
prior to the start of his consultant post at Wrightington.
He is involved in the national programme teaching Hip Arthroscopy to
consultants and registrars. Additionally, his clinical data is submitted to
the national audit program.
Mr Hoad-Reddick's clinics take place at The Alexandra Hospital in
Cheadle and the OrthTeam Centre in Didsbury. He has daily clinics including evenings.
