I am more than delighted to have the opportunity to speak of a very special person on the internet. I first met Mr Ramesh 4-5 years ago when admitted to Glan Clywd for an operation on my right leg due to a broken femur in 3 places. Having a major fright of hospitals from a previous experience in Lancashire many years ago, "I was a nightmare patient". Mr Ramesh went out of his way to reassure me and answer my many questions, which helped to calm me down. After the operation I developed a severe bone infection and had to be transferred to Liverpool Royal Hospital for treatment and removal of infected tissue. During all this hospitalisation Mr Ramesh kept in constant touch with both myself and my daughter to check on my progress and keep my daughter informed. Three years ago I had to have knee replacement after my previous one dis-intergrated when I fell. Mr Ramesh, once again, came to my aid and ensured that I did not have another infection after the operation. This was only due to his extreme care and constant observation to ensure I came through OK, understanding my pervious problems. One could never find a more dedicated, professional and caring gentleman than Mr Ramesh. His swift action probably helped save my life when I was ill both times. I cannot thank him enough for all he has done for me. May he continue to use his exceptional skills for many years to come. He cannot be replaced!!! His standards of care are exemplary. Susan Bourne

I needed two new knees and was sent to see Mr Ramesh as An NHS patient, I found him to be a very friendly, helpful person, who had my best Interests at heart. On discussing my needs as to how I could move forward, it was decided I should have two new full knees, one and then the other. The X-ray showed that both knees were badly worn. Mr.Ramesh suggested we start with the right knee, but as I was having the most trouble with my left knee, that was the first to be done. Mr Ramesh asked if I would like to take part in a trial, whereby, I would have the operation and return home within the day, effectively going in as a day patient. Instead of the normal 2-3 days in hospital. I said I would be happy to do that. This was the best decision I ever made. I walked in to Abergele hospital on 9th December 2019 at 6am, had my operation at 9:15 am, and was back on the ward by noon. I was up and walking about by 3pm and home by 6pm! Mr Ramesh and his team did a great job I have to say. I had no pain whatsoever and still don’t! People had told me  that this was a painful operation with a slow recovery, but I found this not to be the case. Due to the Covid restrictions the operation on my right knee has been delayed, In my opinion, to do this operation in a day is the  way forward for the NHS. It stops bed blocking, and keeps you safe, as you are in and out so quickly. I don’t believe the day operation will be for everyone, but for those who meet the criteria, if there is one, it’s a great idea. Once again thank you Mr Ramesh his team and the NHS great service, looking forward for my right knee to get sorted.

From my first meeting with Dr Ramesh in outpatients to my total hip replacement and post-operative care, I have have felt nothing but fully confident in his hands. He showed me my X-rays and carefully explained in full what had happened to my hip and what needed doing. On admission to Glan Clwyd hospital, Dr Ramesh and his team have made me feel comfortable and fully involved in my care. My operation was performed skilfully and successfully, leaving me with full mobility, equal leg lengths and a confidence I never thought I would have. The lack of the horrific pain I was experiencing before was over whelming. I cannot thank Dr Ramesh and his team enough. You have changed my life. I hope that he can continue to provide his excellent care within the constraints of the NHS, providing elective surgery to those in desperate need.

This is the second time I have met with Mr Ramesh in the last 6 months. On both occasions he was friendly and attentive with very good eye contact which immediately made me relaxed and felt welcome. Whilst being very professional he was also easy to talk to and explained everything in detail. I never felt rushed or under pressure to end the appointment. The Nurses who I saw prior to seeing Mr Ramesh were delightful too.
