Mr Kamel is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist. He has extensive experience in the management of various gynaecological conditions for more than 20 years.
His main area of interest is the diagnosis and management of various vulval conditions. Other areas of interest include colposcopy (abnormal cervical smears), medical and surgical management of menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, menopausal symptoms, hormonal replacement therapy and recurrent miscarriages.
He has special interest in minimal access (keyhole) surgery including: hysterectomy (removal of womb) ,myomectomy (removal of fibroids) , ovarian cystectomy(removal of ovarian cysts), Oophorectomy (removal of ovaries), tubal sterilisation, hysteroscopy (camera inside the womb), resection of fibroids, endometrial ablation, intrauterine device insertion or retrieval and treatment of endometriosis.
Mr Kamel successfully completed his training rotations in both, London deanary (North Thames East) and East of England (EoE) deanery, gaining all the medical, clinical, and surgical expertise in both regions.
Shortly after obtaining his CCT certification, he was appointed as a consultant in Croydon University Hospital.
Mr Kamel is committed to providing his patients with the best care by engaging them in open discussion, providing adequate information, and empowering them to make informed decisions about their treatment. He takes a holistic approach to each patient's individual needs and strives to provide the highest level of care possible.
Mr Kamel has several publications in peer reviewed journals. He always shares his expertise by teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field.
