Really, really thorough, extremely good listener, good natured and made me feel comfortable. I don't always feel like GPs and psychiatrists have time to listen to me but Adam really did, and he was very careful to check my history and background before prescribing which is reassuring. Very impressed.

Dr Adam Joiner assessed my teenage daughter , and we both couldn't have been more happy with how he carried out the assessment. He was incredibly thorough , which was very reassuring. He asked all the right questions to exclude any other possible condition, and my daughter felt very much at ease due to Dr Joiner's warm and friendly manner. We really could not recommend Dr Joiner strongly enough. I have to add that my daughter saw a psychiatrist at CAMHS a few years ago after she wanted to be assessed for ADHD - I have the condition myself as does several family members. It turned out to be an unpleasant experience as the psychiatrist clearly did not have much knowledge on ADHD and was highly unprofessional. It took over 2 years for my daughter to feel ready to get assessed again, this time privately on the recommendation of our GP, who had no faith in CAMHS. I did my research and chose Psychiatry UK, and could not be more pleased about this choice. The experience for my daughter this time , unlike with CAMHS, could not have been any better. If you want to know that you are in safe hands, and that you are going to be assessed thoroughly in the highest professional manner, I strongly recommend Dr Joiner.

Adam was an absolute breath of fresh air. He was so kind and understanding. He really listened to me and didn't judge me no matter how silly I felt. He made me feel extremely comfortable and was very east to talk to. I feel like I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel thanks to his kindness. A very brilliant man.

Dr Joiner is lovely and my daughter thought he was too. He was very clear about the whole process, thorough and put us both at ease throughout the assessment process. We would both highly recommend this Doctor to anyone.
