Miss Sheila Ross

I had been having severe upper and lower back pain and my GP didn’t seem to be taking me very seriously. I was referred to Ms Ross with my upper back pain and when she asked what pain killers I was on and I told her, I also had to say that some of them I was on was for my lower back pain. When I said that, she asked more about it and then organised for me to have a pelvic x-ray and an MRI of my whole spine. I got the results of this last week and, although it wasn’t good news, at least I now know why I have been in so much pain. Ms Ross is so easy to talk to and I felt she was actually listening to me and taking me seriously. I wish there were more specialists like her!!

Miss Ross was my surgeon that done the partial removal of my brain tumour back in 2020! With covid 19 at it's high point and also having to give birth to my daughter Just 4 days before my surgery, was alot of stress on me and my husband, but she done her best making us the most comfortable sorting out a room for my husband to stay so we could be together when we had our daughter and after my surgery, she arranged that we had a private room on the ward so he could support me even though partners wasn't allowed on the ward at this time, before and after my surgery she would be around and contact me straight away with any concerns I had. She is really a true queen and the most caring person that deserves the world.

I was bed bound and in a lot of pain because of very bad spinal problems, Thanks to Ms Ross who is very good at explaining everything if you listen carefully and the team who operated on me i can now walk, be it with walking sticks and the pain has reduced from 10 to about 5-6.. She explained that my spine is in a very bad way and I suppose I'm heading for a wheelchair eventually.? The care I got from everybody at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary was outstanding and I cannot thank them enough. Graham MacDonald Elgin
