Mr Yazan Masannat

I was lucky to be allocated Mr Masannat to undertake my surgery. Very professional, very kind and exuding the confidence you look for when undergoing surgery. Post operative my scar is almost invisible and I am ready to now rebuild under the care of this amazing surgeon. The entire ARI team were superb throughout, a credit to the National Heslth Service.

From our very first meeting I found Mr Masannat was a smiley, caring, friendly Consultant not at all distant. I found him very straight to the point which I liked because I am that kind of person myself He explained what was happening and what would be happening from start to finish even with all the tests, biopsies, MRI. Etc leading to ‘Mastopexy Donut’ Surgery on 5th Nov. which in itself was very assuring. I am now just one week post operative and he has done a brilliant job. I have not even required ANY pain relief so I am more than happy. Waiting patiently for the next stage of my journey, but all in all I want to say a very big thank you to Mr Masannat and not forgetting his whole team whowere nothing but most caring. Thank you DF

I highly recommend Mr Masannat, he is an exceptional surgeon & has excellent bedside manners. I felt at ease immediately on my very first appointment and this continued throughout diagnosis & surgery. I felt at ease confident, reassured & in very safe hands throughout every appointment. Having just gone through 3 major surgeries including a mastectomy all conducted by Mr Masannat I can say with confidence that I am more than satisfied with the bedside manner, information, and post operative care I received at all stages of my ordeal, he explained in detail what was going to take place and always made me feel confident that I could question the prognosis and make informed decisions accordingly. Recently I was diagnosed with breast cancer and Mr. Masannat was my surgeon. I can highly recommend Mr. Masannat, I met him the day before the operation and he was caring and compassionate and explained the whole procedure well and answered all questions that I had and also makes you feel comfortable. Mr. Masannat came to see me the morning of the operation and was there when I woke up afterwards which was very reassuring as the whole process is very daunting and scary. Much care was taken for position and size of the incision which has made recovery from that point of view much easier than first explained to me by a different surgeon. I have full trust and confidence in Mr. Masannat, he inspires confidence and has a great manner and also deals with the difficult issues with a smile and if appropriate humour. Thank you, I am very grateful for the care I have been given and from the whole fantastic team at the ARI from the minute you arrive till you leave, it is awe inspiring how they manage to do it, I do hope that Mr. Masannat will remain the person that I continue to have my annual follow up visits with.

I met Mr Masannat and his team a few weeks ago. I was very grateful to Mr Masannat understanding my concerns. Previously, I have had to attend the clinic for regular mammograms and check ups every year. I was then told the policy had changed, and I did not have to attend for another 5 years. I did not really understand the rationale for this change given an underlying condition. In fact, if anything, I felt I was an inconvenience and wasting time. As there was a change I was referred by my GP. Mr Masanat explained things well, reassured me, and also provided a check up plan for the future that made complete sense. I left the clinic with a completely different feeling following my appointment with Mr Masannat - he listened and he cared.

Mr Masannat and another surgeon cared for me through a mastectomy and reconstruction. It gave me the opportunty to compare the doctors and Mr Masannat was the one that showed empathy, care and was there before and after the surgery, as well as follow-ups. I am glad to have been treated by Mr Masannat and was impressed with his professionalism and bed-side manner through difficult conversations. I liked that he was caring but still matter-of-fact and direct, provided information and options and I felt comfortable (as much as one can) going into the procedure with him.

The night before my surgery my surgeon changed. Mr Masannat came to introduce himself and talk to me about my forthcoming breast surgery. He’d won me over within minutes. His kind, caring, professional manner shone brightly. I felt in safe hands. He explains things well and handles those difficult conversations with compassion. His smile is medicine in itself.
