From the very beginning of my treatment for breast cancer Rachel guided, reassured and explained everything about the procedures I would be undertaking. She was very professional but always very approachable, listening to all my concerns and worries. She performed a lumpectomy and mastectomy and provided all the necessary follow up care. I have always had complete confidence in her. I honestly do not think she could provide any better care.

For anyone to be told they have cancer is a great shock and worrying experience but Rachel Bright-Thomas was able to guide myself, and my husband, through it all. The confidence she instilled in me by telling me that in my case the cancer was treatable and curable gave me the belief that through her everything was possible. Her professionalism, care, understanding, reassurances and patience are second to none. At no time did I feel embarrassed to cry in front of her and it was a pleasure to share the smiles and laughter. Her guidance and explanation through each step was invaluable. Rachel is a remarkable surgeon having performed a lumpectomy and mastectomy. I cannot thank Rachel enough for what she has done for me, along with Claire her extremely efficient and hard working assistant, and I would not hesitate to recommend her.

I unreservedly recommend Rachel Bright-Thomas. She is a skilled surgeon (my right breast lumpectomy scar is neat and very unobtrusive) and inspired confidence from the first time I met her. I was unsurprisingly quite anxious, but Rachel was attentive, warm and very reassuring. She listens well and communicates clearly. I never felt our appointments were rushed and her explanations of quite complex medical issues or dilemmas were pitched at just the right level, reflecting what she assessed I already understood and could grasp.
