I saw Mr Thrush at Worcester hospital and immediately I felt in safe hands. He explained my diagnosis and what my options were but just as importantly he listened to me and what I wanted/needed. I was booked in for my operation at Redditch hospital Birch ward day surgery. The care I received from everyone was perfect and the whole process went very smoothly and was stress free. I went for my follow up appointment with Mr Thrush today and again he was so kind and caring. I am so grateful to the whole team for all their care and professionalism. I recommend Mr Thrush without a moment's hesitation not only for his skill as a surgeon but also for his lovely bedside manner. I will be eternally grateful to him for looking after me so well

I am a retired nurse/ midwife and when attending hospital as a patient am looking for a consultant who listens, cares and gives me total confidence in his abilities and in my abilities to cope with my problem. Mr. Thrush provides both in great measure. He is empathetic and makes you feel totally cared for and confident in the future. I have just had a simp,e mastectomy and, four days later, am out and about feeling well and happy. The whole team of Doctor, breast care nurses, and all staff are to be highly praised.

I was diagnosed in June 2018 with breast cancer at the age of 36 ! And has u can understand I was so scared but mr thrush was brilliant with me I asked him if he would be able to get me though it and his answer was yes he was very convenient in what he was telling me . I told him I had 6 children so I needed to be ok for them and his reply to that was u will be still around in years to come . He was very on the ball with getting me in for my biopsies and scans and then getting me ready for chemo . I’ve just had a mastectomy on the left side and it went really well . Mr thrush done the operation and I felt relax to know that he was doin it for me . If anyone of u find urself in my situation then please ask for me Steven thrush u will be in great hands . Also his team memebers are brilliant also there always there when u need them .

I was diagnosed with Breast cancer in February of this year. From the moment of my diagnosis I was made fully aware of exactly what the diagnosis meant to me. I was treated as an individual not as a patient. My options were made very clear to me and the pathway I was follow fully explained. I cannot compliment my consultant or the wider team of nurses enough. I elected to have my surgery close to home at the Kidderminster treatment centre, which I have to say ( apart from the food) is on parr with most private facilities. I had a room to myself and the atmosphere was calm, friendly and relaxed.
